By Air: The nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport (50 km from Manali). By Road: Manali is well connected by road from Delhi, Chandigarh, and other parts of Himachal Pradesh. By Train: The nearest railway stations are in Joginder Nagar or Chandigarh, followed by road travel to Manali.
Drive from Manali to Jobra (approx. 1 hour). Begin an easy trek through forests of pine, maple, and birch to reach Chika campsite by the river.
Trek along the Rani Nallah, cross rocky patches and stream crossings. Balu Ka Ghera is a flat area surrounded by mountains, perfect for camping.
This is the most challenging and rewarding day. Start early to ascend the Hampta Pass. After reaching the top, witness stunning views of Lahaul Valley and descend to Shea Goru for overnight camping.
Descend along moraine and rivers to reach Chatru, where the green Kullu transitions into the desert of Spiti. If weather permits and the roads are open, take a drive to Chandratal Lake and return to Chatru.
